Joshua is a specialist intellectual property lawyer, advising in relation to IP litigation and also the protection and exploitation of IP rights. He maintains a broad practice and has a particular interest in engineering and technology, including renewable and traditional energies.

Joshua is a co-author of the intellectual property chapters in 'Offshore Construction Law and Practice' (2nd edn) and 'Offshore Floating Production, Legal and Commercial Risk Management', both from Routledge.

Expertise

  • Representing the Claimant in a High Court (IPEC) patent infringement dispute concerning oil well drilling tool technology.

  • Advising the designer of a novel floating wind turbine foundation in a design and development agreement with a large conglomerate.

  • Acting on various design and development and shipbuilding agreements in relation to the design and build of offshore energy vessels, including FPSOs and FSRUs, and related technology.
